Luna Maria was born in Finland, on the edge of a lush and beautiful forest. The forest fed her imagination, and she spent her childhood building huts with fairies and other woodland creatures. Her grandmother, a seamstress, inspired Luna to explore sewing, craftsmanship, and art. She was especially enthusiastic about sewing and created clothes for herself and her plushies from a young age. Over the years, Luna’s interest expanded to nearly every handicraft technique she encountered, as well as the visual arts. When faced with a new craft, she is eager to learn the technique thoroughly. Luna has worked as a craft instructor and as a special needs assistant, but eventually found the courage to focus on her crafts full-time. She graduated as an artisan at the end of 2020, specializing in various weaving techniques. Passionate about bringing old traditional handicraft techniques into the present day, Luna constantly seeks new ways to integrate tradition with modern creativity. In recent years, Luna has also been drawn to coding, discovering many similarities between programming and crafts, such as creativity, problem-solving, and attention to detail. She loves learning new skills and looks forward to expanding her expertise throughout her life. Luna draws her greatest inspiration from Nordic folk tales and the forces of nature, which continue to shape her artistic journey.
